Managing Partner
Joe has spent the past 20 years in Private Equity, first as an analyst with a boutique PE firm based in Oakville, ON, then moving to Genesis Capital upon its launch in 2006. After spending the first few years with Genesis in an analyst role, providing financial modeling and debt structuring analysis to support transactions, Joe transitioned into a lead role in 2009, filling the position left vacant by the departing president of the firm. With a successful transaction completed in 2009, Joe established himself as the operational lead of Genesis and has held the position since. Over the course of his career, Joe has reviewed hundreds of potential acquisitions, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, transaction structuring, and negotiations, to successfully close nine transactions delivering significant returns to the equity investors. He is an investor and member of the Board for multiple private companies. In 2018, Joe was named Managing Partner of Genesis.
Joe lives in Toronto with his wife and two children and is active as a volunteer head coach for the Leaside Hockey Association.

Jack has over 50 years of experience in the financial industry in investment management, corporate banking, and venture capital. In his years as a corporate banker, Jack held senior roles in commercial and corporate lending, and as Senior Credit Officer of a tier one bank. In 1982, he co-founded the Merchant Banking group at the Mercantile Bank of Canada, which he ran until 1986, when he left to start Lincoln Capital Corporation, a private merchant bank. While at Lincoln he held various positions, including President & CEO. In 1988, Lincoln Capital Corp became a publicly traded company listed on the TSE. In 1993, he co-founded Jefferson Partners, a highly successful Venture Capital firm focused on emerging technology firms in which he remained active in until 2009. Since then, Jack has divided his time between global charitable organizations and his business activities, including advising and investing in Genesis Capital portfolio businesses.

Warren joined Genesis in 2018 as an Equity Partner and brings a diverse background of financial service, marketing, and operational roles to the team. In addition to actively developing real estate opportunities in Southwestern Ontario, Warren plays a role as a Board member for Genesis portfolio companies. Warren and his wife Marnie own and operate a growing chain of RV resort properties along the shores of Lake Erie which constitute their main family business. They also manage their family holding company, which maintains ownership positions in a number of privately-held real estate investments and operating companies.

Kerry is an experienced entrepreneur with an extensive background of ownership and management operations across a variety of industries. In addition to his equity partnership in Genesis and its portfolio businesses, Kerry is an active consultant and operator in the renewable energy sector. His past experience and continued passive ownership includes being a partner in a housing development firm, two long-standing and successful restaurants in the Oakville/Burlington markets, an established SAP consulting firm, and a self-storage business. Kerry has provided hands-on management as interim President to Genesis portfolio businesses on two occasions and provides a well-rounded skill set to add value as an investor and Board member.
Kerry resides in Mississauga with his wife and two sons.

Mark joined Genesis as a Partner in 2022 after a successful 25-year career in the technology sector focused on revenue generation, sales and marketing. In his last role, he was the Vice President of Revenue at Shopify, a leading Canadian Ecommerce platform. Since his “retirement”, Mark has taken the opportunity to focus on private equity investing and advising Genesis portfolio businesses as an Equity Partner, as well as managing a growing portfolio of international consulting clients. Mark has a Bachelor of Science & Minor in Math from the University of Guelph, and has completed executive leadership training at Stanford University. When not working, Mark would rather be outside fishing, golfing, skiing or spending time with his family.
